Six areas, five postcodes, and one price list holding across the lot. The round starts on the High Road, drops one stop south to Turnpike Lane in N8, runs north west to Bounds Green in N11, climbs west to Alexandra Park in N22, crosses the New River south west into Hornsey, goes east over Lordship Lane to Tottenham in N17 and finishes south east on the Harringay Ladder in N4. A room of carpet is £36 in every one of them.

The round, and what each area tends to book

Area Postcode Most of the work there
Turnpike Lane N8 Room by room shared houses, month end handovers, hall carpets
Bounds Green N11 Family weeklies, loft stair flights, double ovens and ranges
Alexandra Park N22 Wool carpets, three cleaner deep cleans, long drop curtains
Hornsey N8 Weekly and fortnightly housework, bathroom mould, key safes
Tottenham N17 Landlord invoicing, flats over shops, between-let handovers
Harringay N4 Through lounges, upper and lower conversions, kitchen degreasing

How far Wood Green stretches on this site

Mostly N22, with N8 and N11 along the edges, plus two postcodes where the van genuinely goes: N17 the far side of Lordship Lane and N4 down at the Ladder. Haringey on the paperwork, with Noel Park and the High Road at the centre of it.

The network our cleaners actually use

Wood Green and Turnpike Lane both sit on the Piccadilly line in zone 3, about twenty minutes out from the West End. Alexandra Palace and Bowes Park put you on Great Northern services into Moorgate and King’s Cross, and Hornsey has its own stop on that same line. On the road it is the W3 and W4, the 29, 67, 121, 141, 144, 184, 232, 243, 329 and 341 along the High Road and Lordship Lane, with the W3 the one that climbs to the palace. Our cleaners travel on exactly that network. A road with a bus running down it is simply easier to reach by nine than a road without one, and it is better to say so at the booking than to agree eight o’clock and arrive at twenty past.

Two zones and the car-free blocks

Haringey operates Wood Green Inner and Wood Green Outer as separate controlled parking zones holding separate street lists, and the newer schemes on and around the High Road are designated car-free housing, so your road name helps us pick the start time that suits it.

One address does not always mean one home

Across the Victorian terraces near Noel Park, Lordship Lane and the lower Harringay rungs, conversion into flats and licensed shared houses is very common, so a single front door often covers two or three separate tenancies. For us that is purely a counting exercise. Where a house has more than one kitchen or more than one bathroom in daily use, we scope the rooms genuinely in use and the band follows from the flat being cleaned rather than the building it sits inside.

The water is the same everywhere on the round

Hard from the Bounds Green end to the bottom of the Ladder, roughly 300 ppm on Thames Water supply. Kettles fur up. Screens go milky. A mixer tap looks dull long before it stops working properly. Descaling is simply what cleaning a bathroom in this borough involves. It is also why a handover clean puts extra minutes aside for a bathroom nobody has looked at in two years.

Roads that are not on the list

Those six pages sketch the round, they do not fence it. Work reaches us from Palmers Green, Muswell Hill, Crouch End and Stroud Green, and being outside the list has never lost anybody a booking. Read a road name down the phone on 020 8077 9085 and you will know before you hang up. Worth adding: where a neighbour wants something doing the same morning, say so. One stop rather than two means less waiting for both households, and the £67 minimum is satisfied once between you. The prices page carries the numbers and the services page goes through the work itself.

Questions we get asked

Do the outer areas cost more?

They do not. A room of carpet is £36 in Turnpike Lane and £36 up in Bounds Green. Moving between N22, N8, N11, N17 and N4 changes neither the invoice nor how soon you get a slot.

Does Wood Green here mean the whole of Haringey?

It means N22 with N8 and N11 on the edges, plus N17 over Lordship Lane and N4 at the Harringay Ladder. Roads a little beyond those get an answer on the phone.

You do not list my road. Will you still come?

Almost certainly. Those pages describe where the van goes rather than where it stops, and jobs already reach us from Crouch End, Stroud Green and Palmers Green. Read the road name down the phone and you get an answer inside the call.

Which areas can you reach soonest?

Turnpike Lane and Alexandra Park, both a few minutes either side of the High Road. Bounds Green is straightforward outside the school run.

Priced before we start. Every time.
